Bare Faced Beauty

Aug 13, 2015

Bare faced beauty.

The Rose Collection was inspired by the English Rose and all of the connotations of fresh, spring beauty. This soft, natural look is just stunning for wedding make-up and is an increasingly popular demand among professional make up artists, including Sarah Brock.

Sarah is the Cover makeup artist and beauty expert for Conde Nast Brides magazine, she is also the bridal makeup expert for Chanel.

We spoke to Sarah about how to re-create our dewy Rose Collection look at home.

To start with, preparing your skin is paramount. A skin regime is essential for any bride-to-be. I would recommend:

• A cleanser – twice a day

• An at home micro-dermabraison scrub or exfoliator (depending on your skin type), once or twice a week

• Depending on our skin type, a good face mask which will hydrate the skin and make it look younger and fresher

• 2 different moisturisers – one with an SPF for day ad one that is designed for night time use

• Eye cream, to be used twice a day

• A good lip product to keep lips plump and moisturised

It is essential to take time in choosing the right foundation shade and formulation and it is worth getting professional advice on your foundation/ concealer and powder.

If it is too thick/ heavy/ too dark or light it will show in the photographs. If your makeup base looks great, the rest of your makeup will too!

And it’s not only whats on the outside that counts..

Drinking lots of water is essential, along with a healthy diet and exercise. Cutting out/ down on sugar can also help with many different skin issues!
