This weekend the world was delighted when Idris Elba married his girlfriend of two years, Sabrina Dhowre, in a ceremony at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh recently.
The bride wore a custom white silk crepe Vera Wang gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves styled by Law Roach, who also works with Ariana Grande and Zendaya. The entrepreneur and model also honored her new husband with little details in her dress; the hem was embroidered with the words “This train carries no wrong do-ers,” a saying that Elba has tattooed on his forearm, according to People Magazine. Dhowre’s cathedral-length tulle veil was embellished with hand-placed macramé lace. After the ceremony, she changed into a custom ivory mermaid gown, also by Wang, with macramé lace and crystal and pearl embroidery.
Elba wore a custom black Ozwald Boateng suit.
The celebration lasted three days, starting with a “colours of the Souk”-themed dinner the night before the wedding at the Amanjena; the day after the big event, guests attended an all-white party at the Mandarin Oriental.
